The combined medical services (CMS) Examination are conducted in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in the Gazette of India. UPSC conducts a Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination for recruitment to the following posts and the approximate number of vacancies to be filled are given below :- Category-I Medical Officers Grade in General Duty Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service – 584 Category-II (i) Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways - 300 (iii) General Duty Medical Gr.-II in Municipal Corporation Delhi - 376 Click Here For UPSC CMS Online Mock Test Series CMS IMPOREANT DATES :
CMS ELIGIBILITY : Click Here For UPSC CMS Online Free Mock Test Series (b) The upper age limit will be relaxable in the following cases : (i) Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. (ii) Upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates. (iii) Upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof. (iv) Upto a maximum of five years in the case of Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st August, 2023 and have been released (i) on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from 1st August, 2023) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or (ii) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service or (iii) on invalidment. (v) Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of 5 years Military Service as on 1st August, 2023 and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on 3 months notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment. (vi) Up to a maximum of ten years in the case of (a) blindness and low vision, (b) deaf and hard of hearing, (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy, (d) autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) multiple disabilities from amongst person under clauses (a) to (d) of Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 including deaf-blindness. UPSC CMS CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO APPLY ONLINE ATONLY. NO OTHER MODE IS ALLOWED FOR SUBMISSION OF CMS APPLICATION UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination Candidates are required to apply online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed Instructions for filling up UPSC CMS Online Applications are available on the above mentioned website. The UPSC CMS Online Applications can be filled upto 09 May, 2023 till 6:00 PM. APPLICATION FEE FOR UPSC CMS Exam : Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination Candidates (Excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay of fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card. "Pay by cash" mode option will be deactivated at 23.59 hours of 08.05.2023 i.e. one day before the closing date
The candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their applications after the submission of the same
UPSC CMS Admit Card: The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the Combined Medical Services (CMS) examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available in the UPSC website [https://upsc.gov.in/] for downloading by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post.
